Leicester Vineyard is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment in which everyone can thrive – physically, emotionally and spiritually. We believe that we are God’s children, empowered by His Spirit to extend his Kingdom together. We are called to serve His people, especially those who are most vulnerable, and to communicate the goodness of Jesus with compassion and integrity.
Leicester Vineyard Church commits to:
Providing a safe, welcoming and caring environment for everyone who engages with the Church.
Establishing clear safeguarding duties for all staff, volunteers and trustees and ensure appropriate support, training and equipping is provided.
Follow Safer Recruitment guidelines and issue appropriate checks for team working with children and those with additional care and support needs.
Implementing robust procedures to identify, prevent, report and respond to concerns of abuse, harm or neglect.
Ensuring full compliance with UK safeguarding legislation, statutory guidance and VCUKI minimum requirements, and seek out best practice leaders in the field to partner with on procedural advice and implementation.
Cultivating a proactive, transparent and accountable culture in which safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
